This exhibition is brought to you by the association « La Barbinasse, » a local organization dedicated to the preservation of heritage, particularly maritime heritage. 8 boats have been constructed by its volunteers. This exhibition marks the beginning of a series aimed at revisiting the rich history of Île-Tudy. We have been officially recognized as a public service since 2022. Donations we receive are tax-deductible up to 66%. Therefore, for a donation of €100, the actual cost is €34.
You can make donations to: « La Barbinasse, » 11 rue de Kermor, Île-Tudy, or via the helloasso website. You can also support the association by purchasing the book that recounts the maritime history of Île-Tudy and the construction of our boats, titled « La Barbinasse, Île-Tudy Reconnects with Its Maritime Past, » along with books published by the association: « Île-Tudy, On the Sea and in the Sky » and « Île-Tudy, Through the Seasons. » These are beautifully illustrated photo books of the island by Joël Gambrelle, complemented with texts by Alain-Gabriel Monot.
